Earlier OHS grads (prior to about 1975 I would guess) will remember Hazel Weaver, the no-nonsense math teacher we all labored under.
To let everyone know, she is now 93. Healthy and living in a retirement home in Lewisville. I call her every few months and occasionally go by. She tells me she is very bored, but glad to be in good health. Tried to get her to come to the all-school reunion in June, but she did not feel up to traveling.
If you have time, give her a call...or better yet, go by. She is not far off I-35.
Her number is (214) 226-1636
BTW, does anyone have any information on Frank Lewis? He was the 300 lb+ teacher (an ag major no less) who tried valiantly to teach some of us chemistry and physics in 1955-56-57. I have asked many people about him, but no one has had any info.

GLAD TO READ ABOUT MRS WEAVER. SHE SAVED MY HIDE IN 1951 BY POURING ENOUGH ALGEBRA INTO MY THICK SKULL THAT I WAS ABLE ME TO GRADUATE. I LIVE PRETTY CLOSE AND SHOULD BE ABLE TO VISIT. THANKS FOR THE INPUT.

Glad to hear Mrs. Weaver is still around. Too bad I did not see this message until after I moved from the DFW area down to Austin. Those of us whom passed thru OJHS in the late 70's often had Mrs. Weaver as a sub. A great lady. Posted by Bob (Bobby) Hamill Class of 1981.
